Variability in input prices means that the when, where, and how much of input purchase decisions are critical to your profitability. If you buy too much, you face waste or storage costs at the end of the year. If you don’t have enough to cover mid-season applications, you may face higher costs for a one-off purchase.

That’s why knowing where all of your purchases come from will help you ensure that you’re getting the best offers available to you throughout the year. And now, with the FarmLogs Product Purchases feature, you can know you are getting the best value year after year. 

Product Purchases is free to all FarmLogs users. To keep your important financial information secure, this feature can only be viewed by people you choose to be account admins.

Introducing the Product Purchases feature

With Product Purchases you can quickly track your inputs, quantities, and costs. Each purchase is attached to a vendor, so you know that you are leveraging the most cost effective relationships year after year.

You’ll also be able to see a full list of all the products you’ve purchased for each year, and search your purchases by product name to find multiple purchases of the same input. This information is sortable by the year you plan on using the product, making scanning and comparing across years quick and easy.

To access Product Purchases:

  1. Visit app.farmlogs.com on your desktop or laptop computer
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Click More in the top menu 
  4. Click Products in the dropdown menu

What can Product Purchases be used for?

Are you unsure of how much product you need to buy for the coming year? FarmLogs has you covered, and makes it easy for you to log new purchases based on planned activities. The Products page will aggregate the amount of each product needed, and provide a quick way to log a purchase based on total quantities applied. We do all the heavy lifting, so you don’t have to worry about calculations or keeping track of old paperwork.

It’s also easier than ever to track every place in your operation where your products are being used. Product Purchases provides a detailed account of the number of activities and amounts of inputs applied across every field. With all your activity details in one place, you can quickly scan through multiple years and see how input usage varies across different plans and fields.

The Products Purchases feature, like all your sensitive data in FarmLogs, is behind strict permissions, so only people you choose to be account admins will have access to your financial information.
